The BVM’s IDP (Integrated Development Plan) has several focus areas. Two of these focus areas are aimed at safety and care. The priorities identified by the LSAA directly align with these focus areas. A safe neighbourhood and environment are essential for the youth and families to thrive. Happy families create a crucial foundation upon which communities and economies are built, leading to the advancement of society as a whole.

  • Patrol Services

    Capital Security has been awarded the tender to provide patrol services in the Langerug area. These patrols will operate in collaboration with the company managing the camera monitoring project to ensure a comprehensive security solution.

  • CCTV Cameras

    , -

    CCTV cameras are planned for installation in year 5, after the fence is in place. The cameras will focus on monitoring neighbourhood entrances for any unfamiliar vehicles or pedestrians.

  • Upgrading Open Spaces

    , -

    The current irrigation system in parks is inefficient and unsustainable. The goal is to install permanent, computerised irrigation in parks that don’t have it yet, ensuring grass is properly maintained. Additionally, there are no recreational facilities (such as playgrounds) in public spaces.
